The Inochi Exhibition was held in the guest room "Okuden" as a special programme for the 1250th anniversary of the birth of Kobo-Daishi Kukai.

「HOW WONDERFUL LIFE IS」作品に込めた想い
本作品の宇宙に胎児が浮いているような写真は、1960年代にお腹の中を撮影した一枚の「本物」の写真です。
後ろに見える星のようなものもCGではなく「実写」です。
お腹の中は、まさに宇宙のような世界が広がっていたのです。
あらゆるいのちの源である宇宙の始まりは「ゆらぎ＝阿（あ）」から始まったと言われています。
先人達は、宇宙の写真等が無い時代にも関わらず、大いなるものの存在を理解していました。
その大いなる存在＝大宇宙を「大日如来」とし、一文字で「阿（あ）」と表したのです。
この「阿（あ）」という文字の奥には、いのちの源であり、すべてが受容される世界である大宇宙〈胎蔵界〉が広がっています。
だからこそ「大いなる力が宿る神聖文字」として大切に受け継がれてきたのです。
時を超え、お腹〈子宮〉の中で生命が創られていく様子は、銀河系宇宙の星の誕生そのものでした。
まさに子宮の中で「小宇宙」が広がっていたのです。
子宮という臓器は、他者の細胞を受け入れる、唯一拒絶反応しない臓器です。
すべてを受容する寛大な愛の世界は、まさに胎蔵界を表しています。
すべての根源であり大いなる宇宙「阿」と、子宮の中の「小宇宙」は共鳴し続けていたのです。
「生まれる」ということは、この受容の世界からの分離を意味します。
私たちは孤独・不安から逃れようと、あらゆる行為を無我夢中で繰り返しています。
自分が何者なのかを忘れた魂は、宇宙との繋がりを取り戻そうと葛藤しているのです。
あなたのいのちがここにあるということ。
「大いなる宇宙とお母さんの子宮という小宇宙との共振共鳴により創られた、愛そのものの存在であり
遙かなる時を超え、願い願ってやっと手にすることができた尊いものであること。そのことを忘れないで欲しい。」という願いを込めこの作品を制作いたしました。
The photograph of a foetus apparently floating in space in this film is a single 'real' photograph taken in the womb in the 1960s.
The star-like objects in the background are also 'real', not CG.
Inside the womb was a world like the universe.
It is said that the universe, which is the source of all life, began from 'fluctuation (a)'.
Our ancestors understood the existence of a higher being, even though there were no images of the universe at that time.
They identified the Great Being or the macrocosm as Dainichi Nyorai, which is represented by the single character 'A'.
Beyond the character 'A' is the macrocosm (Tainozoic realm), which is the source of life and the world where everything is accepted.
This is why it has been passed down through the ages as a sacred character that contains great power.
The creation of life in the womb over time was like the birth of a star in the galactic universe.
A 'microcosm' expanded within the womb.
The womb is the only organ that accepts the cells of others and does not reject them.
The world of generous love, receptive to all, is the very expression of the womb world.
The microcosm in the womb continues to resonate with the great cosmos 'A', the source of all.
To be born is to separate from this world of receptivity.
We selflessly repeat every action to escape loneliness and fear.
The soul, having forgotten who it is, struggles to reconnect with the universe.
That your life is here.
You are a being of love itself, created by the resonance and vibration between the greater universe and the microcosm of your mother's womb, and you are a being of love itself.
It is a precious thing that you have been able to receive after a long period of wishing and hoping. I want you to remember this. This work was created with that wish in mind.

現在は数々の巨匠の作家の皆様方の作品が展示されておられます金剛峯寺新別殿 巨大な曼荼羅図の左側に展示されています。
Exhibited at the 'SHINBETUDEN' of Kongobuji Temple, Koyasan.
The works of numerous master artists are currently on display in the new annexe of Kongobuji Temple, to the left of the huge mandala.
